| 2015 | 19 | 4.98 | 15.1% | 8.4% | 33.6% | 28.2% | 15 |
Wisler has allowed at least three earned runs in three of his first four starts this season, posting a 4.28 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 18.1%. The biggest issue with the Braves’ starting rotation is potential run support. Even when they pitch well, there is no guarantee of a win with that paltry offense behind them. Tonight Wisler takes on a talented Mets’ offense that averages the eighth most runs per game this season. As such a large underdog on the road, Wisler can be avoided in all league formats.

The question that everyone wants an answer to is what’s wrong with Harvey? Or, is there anything wrong with Harvey? He has struggled with his command a bit this season (7.3% walk rate), but he has a similar velocity. His swinging strike rate is below 10%, but I’m not too concerned about that, as his career average is 11.9%. I’m leading the Harvey is going to be just fine train and even though he allowed two runs in his last start, he looked sharp. I’m a big fan of the Dark Knight against the Braves, who are ranked 28th in team wOBA and 30th in team ISO against right-handed pitching over the last two seasons. He also gets to face them at home where he has a career 27.3% strikeout rate.

The Braves are one of the worst offenses in baseball. It comes as no surprise that they have the lowest team total on the board. They draw a difficult matchup against , who has held both left and right-handed hitters under a .305 wOBA. I always like taking a flier on in GPPs when he is facing an elite right-handed pitcher, but the rest of the Braves can be avoided.

The Mets’ offense is firing on all cylinders right now. If you look at the table below, five of the eight batters in their lineup have a .400+ wOBA over the last 14 days of play. They come into tonight’s game with the ninth highest team total on the board. This is a matchup that suits their lineup well, as has allowed a .408 wOBA and 13 home runs to left-handed hitters in his last 23 starts. One interesting note: leads the majors in hard hit % against right-handed pitching.

Kazmir is coming off of a season-high six strikeouts in his last start. In 2016, he has a 4.02 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 19.1%. While the Dodgers do provide nice run support for their starters, I’m not too high on Kazmir tonight. He comes into this game as a small underdog and the Rays are sneaky-good against left-handed pitching – ranking fourth in team wOBA and third in team ISO over the last two seasons.

Every time I see his salary, I say give me more Moore. His 2015 statistics are pulling down his price in the FanDuel and DraftKings pricing algorithms. We have to remember that he was coming off of Tommy John surgery and that he was a dominant lefty before the surgery. He appears to be regaining that form now, posting a 3.04 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 27.1% in his first five starts of the season. I never like to target pitchers against the Dodgers, but I could make an exception tonight, especially in tournaments.

The Dodgers come into tonight’s game with the fourth lowest team total on the board. They may hit left-handed pitching well as a team, but Matt Moore has really pitched well this season. You could take a look at or in tournaments, but they are really the only Dodgers’ bats that stand out in this matchup.

I was hoping that a move to the Giants would help Samardzija become a more consistent pitcher. So far, that hasn’t been the case. After his best start of the season against the Marlins, he came out and gave up five runs to the Padres against the lowly Padres at home. At this point, it’s hard to trust Samardijza in anything other than a tournament. He draws a nice matchup tonight against the Reds, but I am looking elsewhere in cash games.

The Red Sox knuckleballer takes the mound tonight against the White Sox. In four starts this season, Wright has a 4.07 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 22.5%. He is producing a very nice swinging strike rate of 11.8% and he has thrown at least 116 pitches in three of his four starts. We always like pitchers that can go deep into games. His price is a little too expensive on FanDuel, but he is certainly worth a look in GPPs on DraftKings. Quintana grades out as a top five pitching option tonight. While I am a big Quintana fan, that says more about the lack of pitching options in this slate more than anything else. I’m always hesitant to use pitchers against the Red Sox, as they have one of the best offenses in the American League. Quintana comes into this game in good form though, posting a 3.26 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 26.5% in his first five starts of the season. The price point is tempting, but it feels like a good night to pay up for pitching with or .

The Red Sox are ranked seventh in team wOBA against left-handed pitching over the last two seasons, but they come into tonight’s game with the eighth lowest team total on the board. They draw a difficult matchup against , who has held both both left and right-handed hitters under a .320 wOBA. The Red Sox are secondary plays at best tonight.

The White Sox may not hit right-handed pitching well as a team, but they have the eighth highest team total on the board tonight. They are facing a knuckleball pitcher in , who has actually pitched pretty well this season. I’m not as high on this matchup as Vegas is, but you can certainly look to a few of the White Sox hitters in tournaments.

Tropeano has shown some nice strikeout potential, posting a strikeout rate over 22% in his last 11 major league starts. He does have some command issues though, and he is an extreme fly-ball pitcher. I always hesitate to use extreme fly-ball pitchers in hitter-friendly ballparks like Miller Park. Tropeano may be a small favorite tonight, but the total for the game is set at 9.0 runs. At his price, he could be worth a look as a deep GPP play, but I will likely be avoiding him in all league formats.

Guerra will be called up to make his first major league start. He did make three appearances out of the bullpen last season, but this will be his first actual start. In four Triple-A starts this season, he has a 4.63 ERA with a strikeout rate of 24.5%. He is awfully cheap across the industry, but we don’t know what to expect from the young right-hander. I am going to take a wait and see approach before targeting him in any format.

The Angels are small favorites in a game that is expected to be high scoring. They have the third highest team total on the board tonight, as they square off against the inexperienced . Hitters from both sides of the plate are in play here and don’t be afraid to stack the Angels in tournaments.
