: He is at a point in his career where we simply do not have a ton of use for him in fantasy other than throwing a stack against him. The walks are too often and he is not striking out enough batters to make up for the runs he will give up. Even at these cheap prices, Jimenez is not a player we want to look at today.

: We are starting to see that Sanchez is the real deal with a solid strikeout rate and the walks appear to be trending in the right direction as well. Unfortunately, he is up against one of the better offenses in the league. Combine the tough matchup with a price that is ever increasing and we do not have much more than a tournament play for Sanchez on this slate.

Baltimore
Baltimore ranks near the top of the league in every offensive category, and while Sanchez is not a player I want to target often, it is hard to ignore what this lineup is capable of. If you want an offense that performs at a high level often and could be under owned, then look no further than this Orioles squad today.

It has been a year of under performing for this Toronto offense, but Jimenez has a way of curing those troubles. is finally starting to come on a bit and we need to keep an eye out for Bautista, who is dealing with a thigh injury. Rogers Centre is a park that has seen it’s fair share of runs over the years and this is a game that should have Toronto producing some fantasy goodness.

Matt Moore: At times Moore has looked like he might regain the promising form we once saw from the Rays lefty, but those days appear to be over. Not only does he strikeout too few batters, but his hard hit rate is up as well as the fly ball rate, making him someone that we can look to target. Houston will strikeout with the best of them, but also has the lineup that can put up runs in bunches and I do not have much interest in Moore on this slate.
Batter Grind Down
Houston
Houston is starting to put it together at the plate lately and the majority of the work is being done by the core players that we use in DFS. The problem with these bats is that none of them are cheap and it will be hard to pair them together and still have the pitching we want. The good side of that is we should see an ownership that has tournament stack written all over them here.

Ranking second in both wOBA and ISO against left-handed pitching on the season, this is a Rays team that can get it done for us. With pretty decent salaries outside of , we should be able to fit in a number of these guys as a tournament stack in case we see bad Keuchel today, which is not out of the question.

Not an offense we are typically looking for multiple guys from, but this is a case where we should see a bunch of runs and Danny Valenica should be square on your radar here. I would not go too crazy with their bats, but you can make a case for a few.

Cincinnati has been pretty bad on the season, but has looked much better at the plate recently. Pretty much the entire lineup is hitting well, and with on the mound for Oakland we should have some fantasy goodness from this side of things. Obviously, and are the big name bats here, but remains one of my favorite players that go under owned in fantasy land.

: He has to be considered the top pitcher on the day considering both his recent form and the fantastic matchup with a poor Braves squad. We have everything we want from a starter here with the high strikeout rate and ground ball percentage, while yielding a solid hard hit percentage. Atlanta is home to a spacious ballpark and Lester is primed and ready for a big outing here.

John Grant: Grant will be making his first major league start today and unfortunately for him it comes against a Cubs lineup that is stacked top to bottom with players who can hurt you. He has a very respectable strikeout rate out of the pen but the problem is he has also given up too many hits and walks. If anything we want to load up on Chicago bats here as they are likely to get to the young right hander.

Chicago Cubs
It is funny how even when this team “struggles” at the plate they still find a way to push across runs on a consistent basis. Chicago is hands down one of the best teams in the league and while the pitching is fantastic so is the hitting which is lead by the duo of and in the middle of the order. I expect them to be somewhat popular and a good way to be different is snagging guys at the bottom of the order today.

Braves: There is not a ton of positives coming from the Atlanta side of things and this is a situation where I am completely avoiding them today. Ranking last or near last in every offensive category we look at for fantasy purposes there is no reason to get cute here.

: It might have been an iffy start to his career but the highly touted prospect has turned things around in a major way with four straight wins and only one run allowed during that span. With a decent strikeout rate and groundball percentage Fulmer should be in play as a secondary pitcher today on multiple pitcher sites.

: Pineda has looked better after the Yankees made some minor changes to his mechanics but is still not a pitcher I would trust in cash games even at his current salary. The potential is there and Detroit does strikeout a lot so putting him down as a tournament play on teams where you are trying to fit in some of the big bats makes sense to me here.
Batter Grind Down
Detroit
Detroit is a very capable offense but unfortunately for them the struggle has been getting multiple players to hit at the same time. We have seen stretches where each of the big bats get hot but that is not enough to sustain the type of production we are looking for on consistent basis.

NY Yankees
The top of the order is doing all of the work for New York right now and the pricing is indicative of that across the industry. With this many left handed bats in the lineup and the short porch in right they are always a team to think about for tournaments, but this is not an easy matchup and it is hard to trust anyone past Arod in this lineup.
