: Tillman has a tough matchup today as he takes on the Blue Jays in Toronto. This has been quite a season for him, and although the results are great overall, he is coming off a poor outing against the Rockies in which he allowed six earned runs. Outside of a couple of top arms, pitching is pretty weak today, so Tillman may be considered on multiple pitcher sites where he holds a reasonable price point.

: Sanchez actually leads the AL with sixteen quality starts on the season, and his numbers have been pretty solid for fantasy purposes, as well. The issue today will be that his price is up at most sites, and the matchup is not exactly ideal against a Baltimore team that hits righties very well. Given the price and risk with the tough opponent, we should probably lean more towards tournaments for Sanchez today.

: I am not sure what was going on with Keuchel earlier in the year, but he has really started to round into the form we were accustomed to with an excellent July. The strikeouts are solid and the runs allowed have dipped tremendously, making him a very solid play today. The matchup is tough as the Tigers have the bats to make lefties pay, but this is a scenario where he can still shut them down as he did earlier in the season. On DK specifically, I think Keuchel is a fantastic play at that price point.

: Pelfrey continues to be a pitcher that you want to avoid rostering at all costs, and while the Astros strike out at a high rate against righties, that is not going to change my mind on him today. He has surrendered five runs in two of his last three starts, and with no virtually no strikeout production, this is an easy name to cross of the list.

: The Rockies right-hander looked pretty terrible for a large stretch in June but really turned things around for himself in July, posting some quality numbers for a pitcher in his price range. The Mets strike out a fair amount and rank in the bottom third of the league against right-handed pitching, so Bettis could be one of the sneakier options on the day. On sites that prioritize pitcher wins, he would be more risky considering the Rockies are facing Syndergaard.

: The results have not been at the elite level that we are used to seeing with Syndergaard lately, but with that said, he is still striking players out at a high rate, giving him huge upside. Pitching deep has been the biggest problem, as we have only seen him pitch past the sixth in one out of his last five games. As a whole, I trust that his arm is okay and think with a weaker pitcher’s pool he is one of the top options on the day along with .

: In his last two starts, Pineda has sixteen strikeouts over thirteen innings and has held the opposition to one earned run in total. The issue is that in his other two July starts, he allowed five earned runs in each game. This is a matchup that sees him facing a squad with a high K rate against righties and pretty low supporting metrics, making Pineda a top-tier arm on the day.

: The Rays rookie appears to be the real deal and has also been really consistent in the process. An issue we had early is that he was not pitching deep into games, but he’s improving in that regard, going at least six innings in each of his last three starts and racking up twenty strikeouts in that span. The Yankees have been stingy in terms of strikeouts allowed to left-handed pitching, but their wOBA and wRC+ put them near the bottom of the league, making them a very suitable target today.

: Allowing 21 earned runs over his last five games with six home runs, Gray is a pitcher we are able to safely avoid today, as he takes on an Indians team that has been crushing right-handers all season long. While he has flashed a bit more strikeout potential in his most recent two starts, it is not enough to make me think twice about crossing him off of my list today.

: The strikeout upside that Kluber possesses is going to be in high demand today, and with Oakland struggling to hit righties, he is my favorite top-tier arm on the day. In his last three games, Kluber has struck out 24 batters in 22 innings, allowing just four runs in the process. He is in good form, and with this matchup makes for a very strong play.
