Anderson has had a great start to his career for the Rockies. After 11 starts, he holds a 3.61 SIERA to go along with a 20.5% strikeout rate. He has a great matchup away from Coors against the Phillies, who are ranked 30th in wOBA and 29th in ISO against left-handed pitching. The matchup sets up very well for Anderson today, making him a solid play and hopefully very low owned after many were let down by another Rockies pitcher, , last night.

Eickhoff continues to pitch well for the Phillies and has a 3.99 SIERA to show for it. He gets a decent matchup against the Rockies, who are not the imposing offense they are in Coors, and his 20.4% strikeout rate makes him a viable SP2 against a Rockies squad playing away from home. He is a decent mid-priced play today, but I would rather play his counterpart in this matchup.
Batter Grind Down
Colorado
Eickhoff allowed a wOBA of .331 to lefties, which just has me seeing hitting three bombs again. That should happen right? Doubtful, but the lefty bats are in play today for the Rockies, who have a 4.09 projected run total tonight.

Anderson has shut down his opposing lefty batters (.248), but has struggled a bit against righties, allowing a .322 wOBA on the year. The Phillies have just a 3.91 projected run total tonight, meaning their hitters are in play only as salary-saving options.

Bradley always has strikeout stuff, but he gives up way to many runs to be fantasy viable. His SIERA sits at 4.49 to go along with his 22% strikeout rate. Yet, the matchup today is what makes him an easy fade, as the Boston offense was able to get going yesterday and should have no problem putting runs up against Bradley. Avoid him.

You know the opposing pitcher has been bad when is a -180 favorite. Buchholz has been downright terrible this year, as he comes into this game with a 5.23 SIERA and a very low 14.9% strikeout rate. The matchup is not a cake walk, as he pitches in Fenway against a Diamondbacks squad that has a couple dangerous bats. Avoid Buchholz in all formats tonight.
Batter Grind Down

The Diamondbacks have a top-10 total going right now as they are projected to score 4.54 runs. Buchholz has struggled against everyone, yet lefties have really gotten to him as he has allowed a .386 wOBA against them on the year.

Bradley’s numbers against lefties are bad this year, as he has allowed a .402 wOBA to left-handed batters while keeping righties down to just .280. The Red Sox have the highest projected run total of the entire slate at 5.46 runs. Because of that, the entire offense is play today, but the lefties are great plays.

Straily has actually pitched well from a real life perspective, as he has not allowed more than two earned runs in his last five starts. Yet, advanced statistics show that his SIERA continues sit close to five runs and his strikeout rate is slightly lowered than we would like at 19.3%. He is not a high-upside pitcher, but the matchup may help a bit against the Brewers, who have the highest strikeout rate in MLB against righties at 26%. He is a tournament play only.

Davies is another pitcher who has pitched well from a real life perspective (3.58 ERA), but does not give DFS players a ton of upside when he takes the mound. His strikeout rate sits at 19.1%, and he is a small favorite today against a bad offense. He is priced a bit too high at FD, but the price at DK makes him a decent SP2 and makes a slightly better play than Straily if you want to go a risky SP2 route.

Hamilton continues to swipe bags, as he grabbed another three last night. The upside with a guy like that is tremendous, as he just needs to get on base, and because of this, his ownership has been creeping up lately. Hamilton, Votto, and Cozart are all in play today.

Conley was lit up in his last start, which is understandable since it was in Coors. Prior to that, Conley had a nice stretch of six games where he allowed two runs or fewer. The problem is his strikeouts are very sporadic this year. He does get a great matchup against the White Sox, who are not an imposing offense at all and are ranked fifth-worst in runs per game. He should be in line for the win today, making him a decent play.

Chicago White Sox
The White Sox current roster is pretty unexciting from a DFS standpoint, but it does have some solid value plays at the top. Pick and choose your value from the lineup, but they are not an offense to heavily target.

Duffey has been pretty rough over the last month or so of the season. He comes in with an ERA of 5.93 and a low 18.6% strikeout rate. His SIERA of 3.99 shows some improvements are in order, but his strikeout rate of just 18.6% makes him tough to take in tournaments hoping he can turn it around. Both pitchers in this matchup are avoidable.

Duffey has really struggled against righties on the year, as he has allowed a .401 wOBA against them. The Royals plays will really be based on what lineup they throw out there. Check back if the value is high up in the order with just such as , , and . They would make great plays in all formats if they get their chance again.
